More ‘Oprah’!

There has been a video of Rob and some fan photos released, where he visited several lucky fans at their home! Check it out:

According to People magazine, Oprah gave one family a gift beyond what they could have possibly imagined: RPattz delivered to their doorstep.

Maria Mele had apparently sent in a photo of her family, who look a lot like the Cullens, when Oprah requested fans submit stories about how “Twilight” had changed their life. The initial response was not tickets as they had hoped, but a chance to Skype with Oprah from their Naperville, Ill. home. When the scheduled time for the Skype chat came, Maria and her family were instead surprised by Robert Parttinson walking into their house.

Roll Credit’s Interview With Robert

Thanks to Nikki of Roll Credits… for linking me to her interview with Robert Pattinson:

Twilight star Robert Pattinson reveals why new movie Remember Me gave him a chance to explore his more physical side…

Set in New York City during the tumultuous summer of 2001, Remember Me sees Pattinson star as rebellious NYU student Tyler, who is finding it hard to bond with his father (Pierce Brosnan) after the suicide of his brother. Finding salvation in a new relationship with the equally as troubled Ally (Lost’s Emilie de Raven), Tyler soon finds that happiness is difficult to hold on to…

What attracted you to the role of Tyler in this film?
I read it after the first Twilight film and I always kind of liked it. It was always in the back of my mind and the opportunity came up in between the second and third ones; only a small period of time so you can only do a certain type of movie. I was trying to remember all the little things that I’d read and that was kind of perfect.

It didn’t need any real prep time or anything and there was something different about it. It didn’t fit into a typical teen movie type of thing. I hadn’t really read a script like it and it seemed quite realistic and I found the character to be very accessible for me. I’d always really connected to it and I don’t really know why

Robert Autographs Guitar for the Midnight Mission in L.A.

The Twilight star stopped by a guitar store to pick up a new axe, and the shop’s owner convinced the notoriously autograph-shy Pattinson to sign another one for charity. Here’s how.

As the owner of a rare guitar shop in Tarzana, Calif., Norman Harris sees his fair share of celebrities on a weekly basis. His store, Norman’s Rare Guitars, has been visited by Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, Nick Jonas and Keith Urban. But Harris doesn’t use his love of rare guitars and his celebrity connections for personal gain; he uses them for good. This philanthropic spirit is what stood out to Twilight star Robert Pattinson when he stopped by Norm’s Rare Guitars to check out the selection and visit a friend in 2009. Tonic spoke to Norman Harris to get the complete story about meeting Pattinson, the Midnight Mission and how rare guitars have helped him unite celebrities and charity.

Rob talks Remember Me, Bel Ami, and what makes him happy

Robert was interviewed by Examiner yesterday and their interview is now available online.

Yesterday, press junkets were held for Remember Me with Robert Pattinson, Emilie De Ravin, and Chris Cooper for the upcoming romantic drama Remember Me. Since Rob was there to talk about Remember Me, information about Twilight was limited.

Was there a time where you were sitting with Alan Coulter and the producer and something clicked for you? Can you talk about why you were attracted to this character, and about taking that step to produce?
Robert Pattinson: Well, the producing thing. (laughs) I’m kind of embarrassed about the producing thing because I wasn’t really acting like a proper producer. I only really came on after the shoot just to kind of help Alan and Nick make sure that the product was what the product in which we all wanted to make in the end. It was the summer after the first Twilight thing. I read it then and I met with Alan and Nick. I thought they were really great, and I talked to them for hours about it. I think basically what I commented to them about was, what shocked me was I was reading a ton of scripts and it just didn’t fall into any, the way the dialogue was written and the plot was structured, it didn’t fit into any kind of normal category. It didn’t seem very formulaic. I had just read tons and tons of formulaic scripts in one genre or another and it was just such a relief to find that. There was also something about Tyler, the way he reacted to things seemed very relatable to me, and I hadn’t seen another character like it in like 100 scripts. So that’s why when the period came up between New Moon and Eclipse, we only had two months, you can’t really do that much, it’s difficult to find a movie which can fit in such a short period. It seemed like the perfect fit.
