Robert Pattinson has been preparing for those hugely-anticipated honeymoon scenes in Breaking Dawn.
No, he hasn’t been streaking along the beach (though we wouldn’t object if he decided to do this too) – he’s reportedly been learning how to handle a speedboat like a pro.
According to HollywoodLife.com, Rob was spied zipping about a Louisiana river with an instructor on Friday morning, in readiness for Edward and Bella’s journey to Isle Esme.
But don’t worry, the production is taking no chances when it comes to their star’s safety – in the unthinkable event of RPattz overboard, there were certified scuba divers on hand to come to his rescue.
As we reported previously, Rob’s other mode of transport while in Baton Rouge is a bike he picked up on his first day in town.
The star said that instead of appealing to the mainstream, he sees himself playing at rundown blues bars, with a small number of people watching and ‘drowning their sorrows’.
‘I play according to my mood, and sometimes that can come across as very depressing in music,’ he said.
Referring to music mogul Cowell, Pattinson stated: ‘I love Simon, I think he is a great personality and I think his shows are entertaining. He is a clever guy and he created artists that he knows the public will like, that’s why I don’t think he could ever launch my music career.’
The star, who plays Edward Cullen in the Twilight movies, said that he is ‘selfish’ with his music, adding: ‘The problem is I don’t think many other people would like it.’
R-Patz, as he is affectionately known, believes that his music will be more famous when he is dead, and thinks that nobody will pay attention to him while he is alive.
Pattinson has yet to release any of his own tracks, however, some of his tracks have appeared on the Twilight score.

Hey guys! I would like to apologise for the severe lack of updates from me these past few months. Unfortunatly, things got a bit hectic for me so I couldn’t update. But in the next few weeks, I shall hopefully be able to pick up where I left off and get some updates going again! Again, I am so sorry and I’ve felt bad not being able to update. My laptop should be fixed soon, so that means its going to be faster! See you all soon!

Q: What made you say yes to Remember Me; you are in the position to say yes or no to a director to choose which movie you want to be in or which movie you don’t want to be in?
A: Kind of. You get certain offers and stuff, but with this, it was before Twilight came out, and I read the script and I wanted to do another job before Twilight came out. I didn’t end up doing one, but that was one of the things I read. So with this, usually every single young guy who is a lead is often such a stock character. But Tyler wasn’t really coming from an obvious place and wasn’t ending up in an obvious place either, so it gave you much more to work with, and it could be more of a character piece. There are certain things about generic films where you have to do certain things and perform in a certain way, and it doesn’t really make sense. I think that’s why this is kind of a little bit weird in that respect, it doesn’t really fit what you’d expect from this kind of drama.
Dubbed the R-Pant, the new line of men’s low-rise briefs and trunks is designed to be worn under skinny jeans and trousers – a look which has been made popular by the likes of Pattinson and Russell Brand.
Richard Beale, head of merchandising at the store, told The Guardian: “Over the last three years we’ve seen an increase in the popularity of hipsters. The new range is designed to appeal to a young, fashion-savvy customer.”
Pattinson was recently spotted in Marks and Spencers shopping for underwear with a friend but will not be starring in the advertising campaign.
The new slim-fit underwear range will go on sale in September.
