The “Twilight” team has picked “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” to promote the third installment of the movie series, “The Twilight Saga’s Eclipse”. It has come to knowledge that Robert Pattinson is scheduled to have a talk with Jay Leno on June 15, two weeks away from the film’s release in the U.S.

Leno has not confirmed the appearance but a source did to Gossip Cop. It is still unclear whether Pattinson would be solo or accompanied by his co-stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. But these two have done their part in supporting the movie by attending a meet and greet in Sydney, Australia earlier this week.

Pattinson opted to visit Leno’s rival “Late Show with David Letterman” when promoting “The Twilight Saga’s New Moon” which hit theaters last year.

The trio will once again hit the stage together to introduce a never-before-seen scene from Eclipse. They did the same for New Moon at last year’s Movie Awards and MTV’s Video Music Awards in September.

The first Twilight flick swept last year’s Movie Awards with wins for best movie, best female performance, breakthrough performance (male), best kiss and best fight, and this year New Moon is nominated in five categories.

No word yet if they’ll be walking the red carpet or sitting together in the audience.

Hosted by funnyman Aziz Ansari, MTV’s golden popcorn trophies will be handed out during a live telecast on June 6 from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, Calif. Previously announced presenters include Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Jonah Hill, Jessica Biel, Anna Kendrick, Olympian Shaun White and Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Less than a week later, Pattinson, Stewart and Lautner will take part in a panel discussion at a Twilight fan convention in Los Angeles on June 12. Organizers have already warned that they will not be available for autographs or photo ops because of “scheduling.”

“It’s so nice sometimes, preaching to the converted,” says Pattinson, 24, the London-born overnight sex symbol and primary reason for the screams. Thanks to his devoted worshipers, he has been elevated from a little-known Harry Potter supporting player to one of Time’s 100 most influential people in the world in less than three years. They were out in force the night before at a Winfrey-sponsored screening of an unfinished print of Eclipse. Afterward, a firestorm of fan Tweets rife with “OMGs” gushed about the much-anticipated sequel to 2008′s Twilight and last year’s New Moon.

A week before one of the summer’s most highly anticipated movies hits theaters, the stars of the latest “Twilight” sequel, “Eclipse,” will hit “Jimmy Kimmel Live” for an exclusive primetime special.

Titled “Jimmy Kimmel Live: Twilight Saga: Total Eclipse of the Heart,” the primetime special will air at 10pm/Est on Wednesday, June 23rd. The special will feature the stars’ only primetime appearance together.

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner will all stop by. They’re also bringing along Dakota Fanning, Bryce Dallas Howard, Xavier Samuel, and other surprise guests.

Twi-hard fans are also promised exclusive “Eclipse” footage, a week before the film is released.

Robert Pattinson is best known for his turn as vampire heartthrob Edward Cullen in “The Twilight Saga,” but if the actor had followed through on his teenage hopes, he would have walked down a very different career path — as a rapper.

“I used to want to be a rapper when I was, like, 14,” the British actor revealed during an appearance on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” set to air Thursday.

Pattinson, who was joined on the show by co-stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner to promote the release of “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” in June, explained that his interest in American movies, music and other entertainment helped him develop his American accent as Edward in “Twilight.”

“But Kristen thinks I do the most terrible American accent,” he joked.

“No, no I don’t,” Stewart laughed in response. “Occasionally, some word will come out, and I’ll be like, ‘We don’t say that!’ ”

Of course, Pattinson did not pursue his youthful dreams of becoming a rapper. Instead, he became one of the most prominent icons in modern popular culture, thanks to his involvement in the “Twilight” series. “It’s a great position to be in, because you can walk into a room and everybody’s screaming,” he laughed of his association to “Twilight.”

But Pattinson believes that fans are more passionate about his “Twilight” character than they are of the actor himself. “It’s not really about you,” he said. “So it never really goes to your head, and you can kind of participate in it. It’s about the fans themselves.”

‘Twilight: Eclipse’ secrets exposed! While browsing the web, we came across some interesting secrets regarding the third installment in Summit Entertainment’s extremely successful vampire series entitled “Twilight Saga: Eclipse” that we thought we’d share with you readers.

To be honest, they’re not as much secrets as they are discoveries and many of you may already know about them. First, we learned that the actors are reshooting a scene where Robert Pattinson’s
Edward Cullen and Kristen Stewart’s Bella Swan kiss. They’re also apparently reshooting the famous ‘tent scene’ where Bella must choose between Edward and Taylor Lautner’s Jacob Black. In addition, we also learned that test audiences weren’t entirely pleased with the tent scene. According to various reports, viewers that the scene was too dark and adult.

During the reshoots, Stephenie Meyer (author of the “Twilight” books) stood by director David Slade for three days of reshooting. Apparently she wanted to make sure the director did everything right this time so not to disappoint the fans.

Finally, not that it’s all that surprising, but reports claim that while Robert and Kristen were in Vancouver, Canada doing the reshoots for “Eclipse”, the doors to their hotel prohibited anyone from entering — including maids. Wonder what was going on behind those doors?

PURSUED by screaming fans wherever he goes, Twilight star Robert Pattinson admits he gets his freedom watching Braveheart.

Thee 23-year-old hearthrob, nicknamed RPattz, says although he hasn’t been able to get to a cinema for two years, he can’t get enough of the Mel Gibson Oscar-winning film about Scotland’s greatest patriot William Wallace.

He admitted: “I saw Braveheart on the television the other day and I’ve been watching it four times a day since. It’s my favourite film. I haven’t been to the cinema in two years.”

Since he started playing smouldering vampire Edward Cullen two years ago, the London actor has become one of the world’s biggest and most lusted after stars.

Last year, while filming new movie Remember Me, he was hit by a taxi while running away from fans and he’s a pin-up from America to Japan.

Girls – even grannies – ask him to bite them and in November last year a 2000-strong crowd of girls turned out to see him at a fan party in London.

Added to that is the are they-aren’t they relationship between him and Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart.

Robert’s sudden fame has sometimes made him moan. Last year, he told the Record he couldn’t stay in the same place for more than 20 minutes without gaggles of girls surrounding him.

He now reveals that he has started to apologise to people he meets for his over-exposure.

He started out as a model and fell into acting in 2004. Just a year later he was cast as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter And the Goblet Of Fire.

Robert said: “A lot of people value fame very highly, much more highly than they should and they get angry when they see people either not respecting their own fame enough or thinking that they’ve got famous undeservedly. I took a step in one direction and it kind of just happened, so I can’t really claim anything.

“But I find myself at parties having to apologise for a lot of things, just for being myself. It’s kind of weird – you can never just walk into a place and just reinvent yourself, you’ve always got to explain yourself first, which is tiring.”

Being the main star of Twilight has seen RPattz become a multi-millionaire. His earnings last year were reportedly £11.25million thanks to the second film in the Twilight Saga films: New Moon, which will be released on DVD on March 22.

It starts another busy year for the actor, whose next film Remember Me with Pierce Brosnan is out in April, and the third film in the Twilight Saga: Eclipse will hit the cinema screens on July 9.

Robert is chatting in a London hotel room and he doesn’t look like his famous vampire character because he has grown a beard for new film Bel Ami. He admits for the first time in two years he’s been able to walk around his home city largely undetected.

“I would like to do an audition with no one knowing who I am and see what would happen though,” he laughed.

What’s it like being back in London? Given he’s been jetting around the world for premieres, is it different now?

“It’s really different,” he admitted. “I’ve been here for such a little time in the last three years. I used to live in Soho and when I came back this time everything was closed. It’s weird. Everywhere I used to go to, everything was closed.”

While he was back in London, there were rumours Simon Cowell had offered him a record deal. The actor, who plays guitar and piano, sang and co-wrote on the Twilight soundtrack Never Think and also sang on Let Me Sign, has admitted he wants to do a solo album.

He said: “I don’t know when or how and the annoying thing is, it has to be so good or people will just write it off immediately.”

There is also talk he is in the running to play Peter Parker in Spider-Man 4. He and High School Musical star Zac Efron’s names have been banded about after Tobey Maguire was axed from the franchise.

Robert laughed: “I don’t think I’m going to be playing Spider-Man, even though I would quite like to do it.”

For the moment, he has been rehearsing in London for new film Bel Ami, which started shooting last week.

It stars Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci and Kristin Scott Thomas and is the movie adaption of French writer Guy de Maupassant’s 1885 novel of the same name. Robert plays a Parisian journalist who gains power in the city through the manipulation of some very wealthy women.

It’s a very different kind of film to the almost chaste Twilight which is aimed at teens.

There are some steamy sex scenes with Pulp Fiction star Uma Thurman and Robert admits they are near the knuckle.

“The sex scenes with Uma are kind of disturbing. Her character kind of uses sex as a sort of weapon and my character thinks like an animal.

“There’s a lot of sex scenes in this film, so I’m asking quite a lot of myself, and with lots of different people as well.”

He is also set to star in the final Twlight film based on the books Breaking Dawn, which may be broken into two films, due to the number of books.

He admits to mixed emotions about the end of the saga.

He said: “”It will be strange but it will be great just to be able to know what I’m doing. Not knowing when Breaking Dawn is going to shoot – because it changes all the time – is a kind of burden, to have this thing where you don’t know when it’s going to happen.

“So you’ve got to organise everything in your life around that and that can be difficult.”

Whether he and co-star Kristen, who plays Bella in the Twilight films, are an item is a question Robert manages to dodge. He has never confirmed the relationship and neither has she, despite the fervent speculation about them.

He will admit he has no problem with relationships but admits he is paranoid anyone close to him could sell a story.

He said: “Actual real relationships with people you have known for ages never change. Like all of my friends, every one I’ve known, it’s all exactly the same.

“It’s just new people. If you meet a crowd of people, a lot of times you think someone is going to say something, someone could be going to sell a story about you.

“The majority of times, nothing bad ever happens, but having that paranoia there is very annoying.”

Robert Pattinson and Sean Penn are circling Fox 2000′s Depression-era drama “Water for Elephants.”

Reese Witherspoon has already boarded to the film, which will be directed by Francis Lawrence. Scribe Richard LaGravenese is adapting for the bigscreen.

Based on Sara Gruen’s best-selling historical tome of the same name, story centers on a Cornell U. veterinary student who leaves his studies after his parents are killed and joins up with the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth, working as a vet for the circus. Witherspoon will play Marlena, the beautiful equestrian star married to August (Penn), the charismatic but twisted animal trainer.

Studio, which is eyeing a June start date, wouldn’t confirm details of the project. Gil Netter, Erwin Stoff and Andrew Tennenbaum are producing.

“Twilight” star Pattinson has been on every studio’s wish list. His deal is expected to close. Penn, who is in Haiti on a humanitarian mission, is the bigger question mark. He has an offer from the studio but is still mulling the role.
