Rob in GQ

Here’s the whole spread of Rob in GQ thanks to JustJared! The pictures are amazing, check them out:

We spend a Tuesday afternoon with Pattinson, in a little bakery-café on Doheny Drive, in West Hollywood, and the whole time, he seems to be telling the truth compulsively, heedlessly, helplessly, as if he’d been shot with a sodium pentothal dart while parking his car.

Pattinson’s other problem—he admits this early on—is that he can’t abide a conversational lull.

“I just say the first thing that comes into my head,” he said, “out of nervousness. During interviews I’m literally shitting my pants. I don’t want there to be a silence, because I’ll start crying.”

He looks hairier in these pics, I take it they are old. His hair is very long, its almost like another entity.

Thanks for the photos. That was the best interview–it revealed a Rob that most Twilight-focused articles don’t touch on. His vulnerability is palpable.

i liked his interview, i think he was himself and thats nice, goffy and all, and yet shy, i think that is why i like him he has a good -respectable shy thing about him, i hate when people stare at me, so i can only imagine, i feel bad for him cause in order for him to be by himself to live a normal life just for a few minutes, he has to run and hide, in the dark even.there are alot of people out there wanted to make money off him , thats wrong, he has to hide to be able to spend time like a normal human being, its as if he is a vampire hiding from the world , and for that i appologize. for what we all make him do ,and for all the wakos out there, what about just shaking his hand, telling him he did a good job playin the characters he plays , i think an autograph is something a person get to make money off of, to put on ebay i kinda think its disrespectful in a way, and then everyone has the same autograph what is unique about that, but to be able to shake his hand. thats respect and thats what he deserves, after all it takes him to bring all these characters alive.

Hmm.. weird. Reading this man’s interview, felt like I was reading about myself (panic attacks, et all!), and thats not a fun thing really!! Having the need to vent, a need for self-expression but at the same time not wanting anyone to actually comment on it. It is a very ambivalent feeling to live with.
And it must not be easy to be sucked in this whole Hollywood hoopla, because he sounds like just any other decent guy, who possesses candour and a good sense of humour, now that is way more attractive than a head of full hair!!
Should I ever chance upon this man, I would love to have a game of scrabble with him, with his penchant for words, he might win, but then again, maybe not.

I’ve been trying to leave a comment about this article for the past hour, there are so many things I’d like to say to Robert Pattinson that I just don’t know how or where to start …the most important thing: you sound like a real person, a human being, simple, nice and with good sense of humor, don’t change!
