Yesterday, you officially got a director, and today, you officially have a release date: New Moon will cross the horizon on November 20, 2009.

About a Boy’s Chris Weitz directs the Twilight sequel and, oh yeah, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson return as Bella Swan and Edward Cullen.

Yay! That’s awesome, and wow just a year after Twilight, they sure aren’t wasting any time. I just hope it ends up really well. I hope they don’t think they have to rush to keep fans interested, I’m sure its still going to be very anticipated if they waited a couple months too. Just want them to do a good job! Don’t get me wrong I really liked Twilight. I just want them to get it right :)

Also, I hope they keep Jacob! I keep hearing things about Taylor and I’m going to be totally bummed if they recast. Definitely don’t think they should. …..

I’m so jealous.. the girls in the Tyra Banks show, they were able to hug, hold and talked to Robert and even won a Volvo! I want to meet him in person too..

Hey, that’s so great. This is the greatest news I’ve heard today. Thanks for this news. I don’t hate Tayler but think, he’s too young to be a wolfman. Stephenie Meyer discribed that Jacob in New Moon is very strong and burly. Tayler is shorter than Robert and look too weak.

I know a lot of us this Summit is rushing this, but if we step back and think about it, I think they are on the right track.

First of all, the four books span a total of about 2 1/2 years (please, correct me if I am wrong). If you figure that with the fact that the majority of the cast is supposed to be immortal and therefore doesn’t age, they have to crank the movies out. I love Rob but we have to face the fact that he is nearing 23–he won’t be able to pull off 17 forever.

As long as the story isn’t lost-which I don’t believe Stephenie will allow it to be-it will be fine.

Awesome. I hope they will finish it all up with Breaking Dawn. It would be a shame not to complete the story (I mean, come on, after all that we have to see Bella become immortal!).
I really hope they lose some of the vampire makeup on the next movie — I just don’t think it works well on camera. Carlisle was way too pasty/powdery white, and none of the male vamps (Carlisle, Emmett and Jasper, James) had lipstick on, but they did put it on Edward in many of the scenes. I found the dark/frosty lips a bit distracting (kinda made his lips look like a little old lady). I also hope they tone down the Elvis/Pompadour hair on Edward. It is pretty cute, but I think he’d be cuter if they’d do a cross between the Edward style and Cedric Diggory — just so he looks more naturally handsome, no so made up.
